Terms of Use
Effective date: October 23, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of jocoddington.com (the “Site”) and to sponsored posts, brand partnerships, appearances and speaking services booked with Jo Coddington (“Jo,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
Using the Site
You may use the Site for lawful, personal and business purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that breaks the law or harms others
- Send spam, false information or harmful code through our forms
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
- Copy or scrape the Site’s content in bulk
Content and ownership
The text, photos, videos, logos and other content on the Site belong to Jo Coddington or are used with permission. The Jo Coddington name, signature logo and images, and the Boyd Coddington name and legacy, may not be used to suggest an endorsement or partnership without written permission. You may share links to the Site and its pages. Any other copying, editing or reuse of the content requires our written permission.
Sponsored posts and brand services
These terms apply to sponsored shout-outs, produced commercials, monthly packages, brand ambassador partnerships, appearances and speaking. Your written quote or booking confirmation may add details, and if it conflicts with these Terms, the quote or confirmation controls.
- Pricing. Packages and prices shown on the Site are subject to change. Your price is the one in your written quote.
- Booking and payment. A 50% deposit holds your date. The balance is due before a sponsored post goes live, or as stated in your quote for appearances and speaking. Payment is accepted by Venmo or by invoice.
- Scripts and approval. You provide talking points, and you get one round of script changes before filming unless your package says otherwise.
- Jo’s right to decline. Jo only promotes products and businesses she is comfortable standing behind. She may decline or end any booking that isn’t a good fit. If Jo declines before filming, your deposit will be refunded.
- Disclosure. Every sponsored post is clearly marked as paid, including Facebook’s Paid Partnership label where available, in line with the FTC’s Endorsement Guides. We will not remove or hide that disclosure.
- Results. Views, reactions, comments and sales are not guaranteed. Every sponsored post is reported with its actual numbers.
- How long posts stay up. Sponsored posts stay on Jo’s page for at least 30 days unless your quote says otherwise.
- Use of videos. If your package includes a produced commercial, you may use the final video on your own channels. Running it as a paid ad from Jo’s profile requires the ad-rights add-on and is limited to the period purchased.
- Cancellations and rescheduling. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are set out in your quote or booking confirmation.
- Your materials. You confirm that any logos, product information, claims and other materials you give us are accurate and that you have the right to let us use them. You’re responsible for your own product claims.
Messages you send us
When you send a booking request or message, you confirm the information is accurate. Please don’t send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form.
Links to other websites
The Site links to websites we don’t control, such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Amazon and Coddington Speed Shop. We aren’t responsible for their content, products or policies. Purchases on other sites, including Jo’s book on Amazon, are between you and that seller.
Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. News and trend articles are for general information. We work to keep them accurate, but we can’t promise they are complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jo Coddington will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a booked service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Jo Coddington from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, that arise from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or materials or product claims you provide for a sponsored post.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page. Using the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Changes don’t affect bookings already confirmed in writing.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information you share with us.
